Stine in this novel added another ghastly location, Under the Sink. To everyone, it is just an unassuming place, nothing there. But due to his novel, kids now have a good excuse to get out of the dish duty to save themselves from sponge monster and under sink creatures. 
2) A night in the Terror Tower
This book automatically is one of the best of the series. The reason, RATS. Who doesn't hate them? In this book, it is portrayed that the rats almost overtakes the two boys visiting the terror tower. Add time travel, spells, magic in the mix and this book will fright you good.
3) The werewolf of fever swamp
Who doesn't know about werewolves? The men who turn into wolves in the light of the full moon. There are many good werewolves like in Harry Potter, Twilight. But this wolf is not like them. This wolf attacks people, kill townsfolk, eat animals and even attacks the main character of the book, turning him into a werewolf just like himself.
4) The horror at camp Jellyjam
Every one has at one point of their life has eaten jelly, jam or both. Do you think it is dangerous? No, right? But according to Stine, it is. In this story, the humongous goo of jello which calls itself King Jellyjam abducts the fit and athletic kids participating in the camp and makes them do his bidding. Well, this novel of Stine ruined summer holidays for us. 
5) Night of the living dummy
Who doesn't know about Annabelle? The famous cursed doll known to curse and kill people. Well, Stine bought another of these menaces to life in his books, Mr. Wood. This doll in the book is owned by twin sisters, comes to life and starts acting evil. It even tried to kill the family pet and claims that the twins are his slaves. Not even cutting it's head off solved the problem. Seriously people, you need to check your doll collection.
